12:00 p.m. – 1:00 pm Telecommunication Updates

• A discussion of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), cellular, landline, digital, and cable communications as well as their limitations within the offender monitoring industry. Troubleshooting tips and best practices when encountering these technologies will also be covered.       

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. How BI Day Reporting & Reentry Centers Work

• A State Manager for BI’s Day Reporting and Reentry Centers explains how the centers operate, program components, and integrating “What Works” in Corrections into BI programs.

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. GPS 101

• An overview of GPS technology, helpful GPS terminology, application in the corrections industry, and system limitations.

2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. GPS Roundtable Discussion

• A panel of experienced GPS users discusses their experience employing the technology within their agencies.

6:30 p.m. BI Basketball Bash & Dinner

• A casual dinner along with NCAA Basketball action.

 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Telecommunication Updates

BI Jeopardy will be held each day at the top of the hour. Questions will test BI equipment and software skills. Prizes will be awarded each round!
