A Day Reporting Center Snapshot

A BI Day Reporting Center becomes an active, vital part of the local community corrections system.

As part of their programming, clients are required to physically check into the BI Center seven, five or three days a week, depending on their stage in the program.

Case managers track all relevant participant details in a proprietary database. Case managers regularly communicate with the participant’s supervising officer to communicate progress.

Frequent drug and alcohol testing ensures the participant is not reverting to negative criminal behaviors.

BI’s case management system includes several staff members to ensure a smooth process from intake into the program through transition to community life.

Group programs at the Center revolve around cognitive skills building, anger management and drug and alcohol issues as well as employment and educational services.

A formal program at the BI Center called Community Connections helps link program participants with long-term community resources for employment, education, health services, and more.

Graduation ceremonies are held to mark successful program completion at the Day Reporting Center. Clients’ families and friends attend to celebrate client achievement and transition back into the community.
